A · M · S · F Membership Titles & Development Requirements

All grades form one continuing development ladder. Any historical reference to “signing rights” is an internal IAE competency concept, not a statutory, regulatory or licensed signing authority.

AiaeCCSO	Associate Member of Chartered Chief Sustainability Officer	Recognised bachelor-level education or the relevant QP examination; the entry point for building foundational knowledge and capability in the chosen occupational field.
MiaeCCSO	Member of Chartered Chief Sustainability Officer	Three years of relevant experience plus MQP/QP, or a recognised professional membership with assessment; 40 CPD credits are required each year.
SiaeCCSO	Senior Member of Chartered Chief Sustainability Officer	Completion of a three-year Fellow-led MP experience and upgrade assessment; the framework uses approximately six years of relevant experience including mentored practice as a development benchmark; 40 CPD credits annually.
FiaeCCSO	Fellow Member of Chartered Chief Sustainability Officer	Seven years of continuous membership, current senior-management/professional standing, more than ten years of relevant experience including five years in senior roles, and Council invitation; 40 CPD credits annually.
